Day 7: Lakes District to Stratford-Upon-Avon (England)

After a sleep in and a leisurely breakfast we started our trek down to Stratford-upon-Avon.

The gorgeous Windermere restaurant at the Low Bay Hotel, where we enjoyed breakfast each morning.
Breakfast was good, but Buzz reckons Brighton was better as they had coco-pops

We arrived mid afternoon and checked out Shakespeare's Birthplace

 We then checked out Stratford
A typical street

Checked into Monk's Barn at Stratford, which was a nice little B&B recommended by mum 'n dad.  The kids were pleasantly surprised that we didn't actually have to sleep in a barn - they were worried that they'd have to sleep next to sheep all night! The accommodation was lovely and Rita & Bill took great care of us. The kids loved seeing the sheep, cats, rabbits, and to some extent the dog - dogs still freak them out.

Our room was on the top storey on the left

Dear 5/6 White and Miss Ferguson,
Today we stayed at Monk's Barn while we visted Stratford-Upon-Avon.  We walked through the cool streets of Stratford. At the barn there are animals like sheep, cats and dogs. Here at the barn the country side is is pretty and green. Next I am going to London and going to see family.

Cool Facts:
Stratford-Upon-Avon is where Shakespeare was born.

From your awesome classmate  Emily
