Day 26 to 28: Venice (Italy)

Cruised on over to Venice which surprisingly doesn't take that long averaging 140 km/h. Parking at Tronchetto surprisingly simple too, and made our water taxi rides into the heart of Venice easy.  We took the scenic route on the way there thanks to me assuming that the only ferries that arrive at a dock are the ones numbered on the dock - so there's a tip for new players.

We were looking forward to this visit to relax a little and take it easy...

Minding the bags while we get tickets....
David (Our contact) was waiting for us when we got off, and showed us to the apartment and gave us some great tips on restaurants.  It was a really nice and modern two bedroom apartment within walking distance of everything - a place to call home for 3 nights (perfect really).  We headed off to explore the surrounding canals and streets...
Literally around the corner of our apartment...

The next morning we couldn't resist jumping on a Gondola ride.  One Gondola had a phenomenal singer (guest) on board who was actually really good - the gondoliers were even taken back by the guy.
Nice photo by Buzz... even got the bridge of Sighs in the background

The odd Gondola...
The itinerary for Venice was simple - sleep in, walk through the markets and check out an attraction, ice cream, chill out, then find a nice restaurant...
Dinner by the water...

mmmmm.... Italian food.....mmmmm
There were some crazy people there....

oh yeah ... and take some more photos of 'Buggy' was on the agenda too... naturally.

Buggy in Venice....
Man Buggy has been in a few places...
Took some night shots....

Near our apartment

One of the billion bridges we crossed

And naturally checked out St. Marks Basilica
